Why did you choose your undergraduate course? 

I was always interested in journalism and wanted to go into a career in it, so choosing the BA Hons Journalism with International Development degree seemed like the right first step to achieving this.

Describe your experience of studying at Ulster in three words

Interesting, productive and rewarding.

How do you think studying at Ulster has prepared you for your future career? 

The course itself has given me good communication skills and a lot of transferable skills for the workplace. Also, the independence I have gained has really benefited me, whether that’s been by studying my degree or living away from home, it’s helped me develop as a person.

What one piece of advice would you give to someone considering applying to Ulster? 

Do it. You’ll spend the next three years getting your degree surrounded by great people, great teaching and a great atmosphere!

Would you recommend studying at Ulster and why?

Yes, definitely. I love Ulster because the campus has such a community feel about it. Everyone is always willing to help you out and it’s a really supportive network.
